Our Mission

We are an organization whose mission is to support the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in operating and maintaining Rock Island State Park.


Member Benefits

As a member, you will be kept informed of our efforts and learn about what's happening on the island in a quarterly newsletter as well as be invited to FORI-sponsored events.  Members are also given first priority when annual Lighthouse docents are selected.

Donations

You may include a donation with your membership application.  Donations go towards park and Lighthouse maintenance projects.  FORI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so your donations may be tax-deductible.

Merchandise

Friends of Rock Island offer souvenirs and clothing for sale at the Contact Station near the boat dock on Rock Island, at the Pottawatomie Lighthouse Museum on Rock Island and at The Kaupstadur Gift Shop by the ferry dock on Washington Island.

T –Shirts, Crew & Hooded Sweatshirts and Denim Shirts all come in S-XXL.

New For the 2010 season, new T-Shirts have a sketch of a Rock Island green stripped trillium on the front of a light green shirt and new gray fleece vests have the Pottawatomie Lighthouse laser engraved on the back.  New embroidered Pottawatomie Lighthouse caps are available in sand with a navy brim - one size fits all.
